-- Asian pool greats Efren “Bata” Reyes and Taiwanese Chao Fong-Pang will start their battle in the Face Off Series 2: “The Grandmasters” event slated on Wednesday evening.
Reyes and Chao will figure in a race-to-50 9-ball competition 6 p.m. at the Club Capo Exclusive in Quezon City.
The accomplished cue artists will end their showdown on Thursday.
Chao, 42, said he has known the 52-year-old “the Magician” since he was 20.
“The day that I was informed about the match, I always practice,” Chao said in a video posted on ClubCapo.tv. “Of course, I practice everyday.”
He also revealed that he is “a little bit nervous” about his match against Reyes.
The first Face Off event featured Dennis Orcollo and Taiwanese Yang Ching-Shun in September. Yang edged Orcollo, 50-45.
According to ClubCapo.tv, upcoming Face Off events will feature Ronnie Alcano vs German Ralf Souquet, Francisco “Django” Bustamante vs American Rodney Morris, and Lee Van Corteza vs Shane van Boening of the US.
