-- It looks like University of Santo Tomas (UST) and San Sebastian College (SSC) will again clash for the Shakey’s V-League Season 6 crown after both teams have secured the top two spots in the Final Four.
According to V-league.ph, the Tigresses repulsed the Far Eastern University Lady Tams, 25-21, 16-25, 25-19, 25-22, late Tuesday to conclude their campaign with a 10-1 win-loss slate for the No. 1 berth in the Final Four.
The Lady Stags, meanwhile, secured the No. 2 spot in the semifinals with an 8-4 slate following a 25-23, 24-26, 25-21, 25-16 win over College of St. Benilde.
FEU’s loss coupled with Adamson University’s 20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 victory over Ateneo-OraCare have set a possible three-way tie for third among FEU, Adamson, and Ateneo.
The Lady Tams ended up with a 7-5 card with Adamson and Ateneo, both toting 6-5 marks, going for victories over separate rivals at Thursday’s conclusion of the quarterfinal round at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Falcons, however, appear to have a bigger chance to score a semis berth as they will play ousted St. Benilde at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The Lady Eagles, on the other hand, will have to hurdle the Tigresses, who are also going all out for a victory for the momentum in the Final Four.
