-- BJ “The Prodigy” Penn is set to battle Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez when he defends his lightweight title in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 107 on Saturday (Sunday in the Philippines).

Penn, who retained his belt against Kenny Florian in UFC 101, is confident of his chances against his 27-year-old challenger.

“I'm not worried about him (Sanchez) coming out and trying to overwhelm me,” said Penn, a native of Hilo, Hawaii, in a UFC promotional video.

“I have a lot faster hand speed, I'm gonna be fast on the ground,” he added.

The 30-year-old Penn, who has a mixed martial arts (MMA) record of 14-5-1, also downplayed Sanchez’s abilities inside the Octagon.

Sanchez, who has an astonishing record of 23-2, has been unbeaten in his last four fights.

His most recent win is against the hard-working Clay Guida in The Ultimate Fighter Team US vs. Team UK.

“I think the man has never fought a champion before,” said Penn. “I'm ready for a war… Let's go, Diego.”

Set at the Fedex Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, UFC 107 will also feature a match between former heavyweight champion Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo.
