-- Meralco's Mark Cardona was thrown out early in the first quarter in Game Two of the Bolts' quarterfinals series against the B-MEG Llamados Wednesday afternoon in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Cardona, Meralco's top local scorer with a 20.7 points per game average, was called for second motion on B-MEG import Denzel Bowles with still 10 minutes and 57 seconds to go in the opening period.
The former La Salle Green Archer was slapped a flagrant foul penalty one after hitting the B-MEG import in the head.
Cardona and the Llamados' Josh Urbiztondo were earlier whistled a double technical foul.
The Llamados, with the Bolts losing their chief offensive weapon, capitalized on the situation and zoomed to a 52-29 spread at the halftime break.
Marc Pingris, B-MEG's 6-foot-5 versatile big man, shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field to already score points in the first half. He also grabbed six rebounds.
